One of the survivors of Indian Ocean Drive  

INDIANNA

On the 19th of September 2010 the new Indian Ocean Drive was officially opened. At a cost of $95 million dollars it was expected to reduce travel time between Perth and Geraldton, and provide a scenic alternative to the Brand Highway. It runs through Nambung National Park and two nature reserves. Hundreds of Western Australian wildlife have lost their lives for the sake of saving less than an hour in travel time.
